The brief for this project was to design a typographic book that displayed F. T. Marinetti’s ‘The Founding and Manifesto of Futurism’. I used hand rendered and digital methods to create distorted type, creating a sense of movement and motion that linked to Futurism. I used French-folded pages to allow the type to flow over the pages of the book without any restrictions. I also reflected this concept on the cover of the book where the title is spread across the front and back cover. I screen printed the white ink onto a rubber textured paper which gave the type a shiny
and metallic effect.
